Volta Region, Ghana – In a heartwarming act of generosity, the BKQ Foundation on Monday 5th June 2023 extended a helping hand to Mafi Dove JSS and Primary School, providing essential educational supplies to support the learning journey of its students. Torgbui Sakpleka IV, Divisional Chief of Mafi-Dove, recognizing the need for stationary items, reached out to the foundation, which responded with unwavering support.
Amidst the bustling atmosphere at Mafi Dove JSS and Primary School, anticipation filled the air as students, teachers, and community members eagerly awaited the arrival of the much-anticipated donation. The foundation’s commitment to empowering underprivileged communities and its dedication to education had become a beacon of hope for the school.
A representative from BKQ Foundation, accompanied by local volunteers, arrived at the school premises with boxes brimming with educational supplies. The Headmaster, beaming with gratitude, welcomed the team with open arms. The momentous occasion commenced with a brief ceremony attended by teachers, students, and community members. With great anticipation, the packages were unveiled, revealing an array of essential educational supplies. Four hundred (400) brightly coloured Note 1 exercise books were distributed, providing students with the necessary tools to document their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. The donation also included 480 pencils, 100 rulers, 200 ball pens, 100 erasers, and 100 mathematical sets, ensuring that every student would have access to the basic materials required for their educational pursuits.
The gratitude among the students especially those in JSS 3 was overwhelming as they needed the mathematical sets for their studies. The foundation’s contribution not only equipped them with the tools needed for their academic endeavors but also instilled in them a renewed sense of hope, motivating them to excel and overcome the challenges they faced.
