About the founder
Mr. Benjamin Kofi Quashie is the founder and president of BKQ Foundation. He is also the Group Chairman of Allied Consortiums, a South African based civil engineering company with branches in Ghana.
He has been an entrepreneur for the past ten (10) years, during which he has established himself as a successful and innovative business leader. Over the years, he has demonstrated a keen sense of entrepreneurship, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, and steering his businesses through the ups and downs of the industry. With his sharp business acumen, determination, and hard work, he has built a strong brand that has garnered respect and recognition in his field.
As a reserve banker and entrepreneur, Mr. Quashie is motivated by a desire to create positive social impact, give back to society, and implement innovative solutions to pressing societal problems. He is a father and a husband. Mr. Quarshie is driven by a deep sense of purpose and a belief that businesses can be a force for good, driving social change while also generating profits. For him, entrepreneurship is not just about making money, but also about making a difference in the world. Mr. Quashie is passionate about identifying social problems and using his creativity, skills, and resources to develop innovative solutions that benefit the wider community. He is also motivated by the freedom to implement his own ideas and do things differently without following a structured work schedule or following the status quo.
Growing up was a unique experience for Mr. Quashie, who comes from a humble background and was raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. As the last born of four siblings, Mr. Quashie learned a lot from his older brothers, who taught him valuable life lessons. While they faced some challenges along the way, his upbringing taught him the importance of hard work, resilience, and the value of family support. In summary, Mr. Quashie’s childhood has shaped him into the person he is today, making him grateful for the lessons and experiences that have helped him grow and mature as an individual.
